Edward A. Anderson Company has been in continuous operation, specializing in high end residential construction, since 1913. We work on all types of projects, including additions, interior and exterior alterations, architectural renovations, restorations, home preservation and basic overall maintenance. We are carpenters, craftsmen and designers... people who take great pride in everything we do and are committed to you and your budget. We maintain our own in-house staff of experienced carpenters, and we emphasize to them the things that go beyond quality construction, things such as cleanliness, courtesy, and communication. Poor communication between contractor and client is the greatest potential source of frustration in the industry. All of our talented team leaders are trained to keep you advised of project schedules and the important decisions required to keep things moving. We empower our lead carpenters to make on-the-spot decisions with you so that issues – both critical and not-so-critical – can be reviewed and resolved promptly. We take pride in being able to interact with you in a friendly, timely and knowledgeable manner.

Our operations are streamlined, with just a small local office and no fancy showrooms or other costly overhead expenses. Our company size is purposely controlled in order to maintain a close personal relationship with each client. Avoiding multiple layers of staff enables us to work like craftsmen of yesteryear, where your lead carpenter is a decision-maker, responsible for working directly with you to complete your project in a manner that makes you as pleased and proud of our work as we are. You will always be provided with very personal service, whether directly from our principal; Paul L. Armstrong an architect and local Wilmette resident, or any other member of our team.
